Problem: Since 1885, CIPFA is the only global professional accounting body to focus on the public sector, offering unrivaled opportunities for career development. CIPFA’s products and services are currently used by over 17,000 members in the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates. As part of CIPFA’s vision for better public financial management across the world, CIPFA has begun an expansion of its operations in North America.

Solution: Nīewe Consulting (formerly Baiame) became representatives of CIPFA in 2016, promoting CIPFA’s products and services in North America and the Caribbean, as well as internationally. As such, Nīewe has worked with local, provincial and federal governments in promoting CIPFA’s products, services, training and professional designations. Nīewe is also helping CIPFA break ground in Canada and the US by working with educational institutions, professional development institutes and government departments to offer public sector-specific training, designations and skills development.

Impact: Nīewe’s efforts have led to higher recognition of its professional training, skills development and a professional designation, progressively becoming a recognized source of expertise for finance professionals in the public sector.
