Client: Labour Market Information Council (LMIC)

Problem:  The LMIC was created to improve the timeliness, reliability and accessibility of labour market information to facilitate decision-making by a number of varied stakeholders. To achieve its mandate it initially on setting up its operations by developing its organizational structure, hiring key staff, creating an online presence and liaising with key partners across the country. Once it had developed its first strategic plan, the LMIC required support in developing a performance measurement framework to help guide the achievement of its mandate and objectives going forward.

Solution: Nīewe Consulting (formerly Baiame) provided guidance and advice to LMIC in support of this requirement, leading a series of workshops, first to develop a logic model that fully represented the set of outputs and outcomes the LMIC was striving to achieve, and then to develop the performance indicators for each set of outputs and outcomes so that the LMIC can track its progress along the way.

Impact: The project resulted in a finalized performance measurement framework, consisting of a logic model and performance measurement indicators that will allow LMIC to report on its results and track progress towards its long-term vision and mission.
