Client: Viva la Papa! (Peru)

Problem: Viva la Papa! is a potato chip manufacturer, who cooks in small batches by hand, using potatoes and flavours from Peru. As Viva la Papa!’s operations grew larger, Viva la Papa! took proactive measures to seek external professional services to perform an overarching diagnostic of their end-to-end supply chain and operations to determine whether they were working as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Solution: Nīewe Consulting (formerly Baiame) was engaged to undertake the detailed diagnostic of the supply chain. This included reviewing all operations of the company, from supplier choice to logistics to value proposition and marketing to investor relations. It included detailed financial projections reviews, financial management and production walkthroughs and even a visit to a community of potato suppliers living high in the Andes.

Impact: The review of Viva la Papa!’s supply chain and operations uncovered several inefficiencies that enabled Nīewe to identify, address and remediate, which in turn enabled Viva la Papa! to improve their overall operations and market share.
